Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou says he cannot fathom any Spurs fan wanting their side to lose to Manchester City in their upcoming Premier League clash. “It’s part of the game,” he said ahead of the highly-anticipated clash. “I think it’s the sacred duty of sport to win. We’ll do everything in our powers to do so.”.

These remarks reflect knowledge of the sporting spirit for both athletes and fans. He feels that the very core of sports is to win, and everything else is unacceptable. He has a philosophy that seals up the central thought that his side has a duty to give their all, fight for every point, regardless of the opposition or the circumstances.

He was insistent when he claimed that he could not see anyone wishing defeat for his side at home to Manchester City on Tuesday, let alone the Spurs fans. In fact, this is a statement that overtly testifies to the commitment of Postecoglou to fair play and ideals of sporting integrity. He stands firm that each game provides an opportunity for his team to grow, learn, and, in the end, to win.
This is what Ange Postecoglou says at a time when rumors are going on and on that Tottenham benefited with losing to Manchester City, but the coach wiped off those kinds of talks, saying his team is still up to ensuring a win.

This doesn’t only show the values that he maintains himself, but it is an example of determination he shows to instill a winning mentality throughout the Tottenham Hotspur squad.
