Umar Sadiq has been a candidate for sale at Real Sociedad because newly appointed head coach Sergio Francisco has no plans for Sadiq in his squad.
Sadiq has underperformed at Txuri-Urdin due to injuries. He suffered a cruciate ligament tear in 2023, which kept him out for 292 days.
He suffered a knee injury and an injury to the lower side of his back in 2024.
The Nigerian wasn’t able to get into the team after recovering from these injuries and was sent on loan to Valencia in January.
He played 19 games in all competitions for the club and scored six goals.
