Victor Osimhen continued his fine form in Europe, earning his second consecutive UEFA Champions League MOtM award after inspiring Galatasaray to a 3–1 victory over Bodø/Glimt.
The Nigerian striker scored twice, while Yunus Akgün added the third to seal another impressive win for the Turkish champions.
Osimhen’s overall performance stood out once again. The forward created one big chance, registered seven shots on target, and completed all his dribbles successfully.
He was dispossessed only twice and showed strong work rate off the ball, winning two ground duels and one aerial contest.

Osimhen brace makes him the first Galatasaray player to score in seven consecutive European matches.

After the match, Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk praised his team’s performance, the statement reads
“We started the match very well. In the first half, we scored two goals, created several chances, and pressed effectively. We allowed our opponents only one opportunity.
“It was a first half in which we could have increased the score even more. Our pressing up front was correct, and when we had the ball, we were very calm and confident. In the second half, our opponents had more possession and took more risks.”
“After going 3–0 up, we made some changes, created more chances, and defended well against them. We conceded one goal, but we also had opportunities to score more.
“Our expected goals, number of touches in the opponent’s penalty area, and scoring three goals in a Champions League match all show that we performed very well offensively.”
The Turkish giants will now shift focus to Super Lig, where they will welcome Göztepe to Rams Park.
