Victor Osimhen has given the green light to join Turkish club Galatasaray.
Per Buchi Laba, “Victor James Osimhen says YES to Galatasaray & wants to continue with the Turkish team.”
Napoli have spent weeks pleading with Osimhen to stay. The striker has made it very clear that he wants to leave.
Galatasaray and Napoli are currently in negotiations over the payment of his release clause.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also confirmed Osimhen’s interest in rejoining Galatasaray, reporting that the Turkish champions have submitted an opening bid of €50 million plus €5 million in add-ons. However, Napoli are demanding a higher fee.
Osimhen spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, where he scored an impressive 37 goals and provided seven assists. He won both the Golden Boot and a domestic double with the club.
Though there were reports linking the Nigerian striker to Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Juventus, and Arsenal, none of those talks led to concrete negotiations.
