Victor Osimhen has revealed that he personally tried to persuade Super Eagles teammates Ademola Lookman and Raphael Onyedika to consider moves to Galatasaray, sharing his positive experiences at the Turkish giants.
The Nigerian striker explained that his conversations with the two players happened at different times.
He spoke with Lookman during the World Cup qualifiers, while discussions with Onyedika took place during the AFCON.
According to Osimhen, his approach was simple honest conversations about life at Galatasaray, the club’s passionate fanbase, and what it feels like to play in Istanbul.
“I spoke with both Raphael Onyedika and Ademola Lookman. During AFCON I spoke with Onyedika, and before the World Cup qualifiers I spoke with Lookman. I told them about what I am experiencing here, how amazing the club and the fans are, and what it’s like playing at home in Istanbul. At the end of the day, they are grown men and will decide their futures themselves,” Osimhen said.
He added that both players have the quality to thrive at the club, singling out Onyedika’s style and ability.
“Onyedika has so much quality. He’s a very free player, very talented, and I hope he comes here. I’ve spoken with him and now we await his response with his agent and the club. If any of them comes, they will be amazing for the fans, the players, and the club.”

Galatasaray’s Interests
Galatasaray are actively interested in signing both players, but their pursuit of Onyedika appears more advanced.
Turkish transfer expert Yağız Sabuncuoğlu reports that Galatasaray have submitted a formal bid to Club Brugge for the midfielder, with Onyedika already agreeing to personal terms.
The transfer now depends on an agreement between the two clubs.
Interest in Lookman, however, remains at an early stage, with talks yet to progress beyond preliminary discussions.
