Nigeria forward, Victor Osimhen has backed Galatasaray to make a strong impression in the UEFA Champions League as the Turkish champions prepare to launch their group-stage campaign.
Osimhen, who is currently sidelined with an ankle ligament sprain sustained on international duty earlier this month, expressed his excitement about Galatasaray’s fixtures.
He described Gala’s group as “amazing” and believes the squad has the quality to go up against the continent’s biggest clubs.
“It’s an interesting one, to play a club like Liverpool, Atlético Madrid. It’s an amazing group and I think we’ve got the squad, with our fans behind us and also trust in the coach,” Osimhen said.
“We’re going to give everything to make sure we actualize our dreams in the Champions League and in every trophy we compete for this season.”
He insisted that Galatasaray can rise to the challenge, pointing to the squad’s depth and the fans’ influence.

Speaking further, Osimhen underlined that the team’s ambitions are not limited to participation but to compete.
“The goal is to go far and try to win a lot this season,” he added. “We want to go as far as possible in this competition, and we’re going to give our all to actualize that.”
Galatasaray will begin their UCL campaign on Thursday against Eintracht Frankfurt at Deutsche Bank Park.
