Stanley Nwabali has a new coach at Chippa United, Vusumuzi Vilakazi.
The club has parted ways with Luc Eymael, who was only appointed on the 20th of August.
The news comes as a real shock to fans of the club and the PSL in general, as Eymael managed just seven games in charge.
Chippa United’s record this season stands at one win, three draws, and six defeats. They have also been knocked out of the Cup.
Fans have also directed their ire towards the board, especially as the club sits bottom of the PSL table, three points adrift of automatic safety.
This marks the fourth coaching change of the season for the Chilli Boys.
A statement on social media confirmed Vilakazi’s appointment:
“Chippa United FC confirms a mutual separation with Head Coach Luc Eymael. We thank him for his professionalism and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
“We are pleased to welcome back Kanu Vilakazi as the new Head Coach. Familiar with our club’s values and ambitions, he is well-placed to lead us forward in the Betway Premiership League.
“To our loyal supporters, thank you for your belief and encouragement. We promise to bounce back stronger as the Chilli Boys.”

Vilakazi brings with him a wide range of experience that could prove vital in keeping Chippa United in the South African top flight.

He previously served as the club’s technical director and has had spells with Lamontville Golden Arrows, Richards Bay, and AmaZulu, most recently last year.
With the appointment of Vilakazi, Nwabali and his teammates will be hoping to turn things around and change the club’s fortunes.
