- The Netherlands have a 26-player squad for Euro 2024, with Ronald Koeman naming the final team after a provisional list of 30 players.
Newsypeople- The Netherlands have confirmed that Ian Maatsen has been added to their Euro 2024 squad after Teun Koopmeiners was forced to withdraw due to a groin injury sustained in the warm-up before the Iceland match.
This comes after Frenkie de Jong had already been ruled out with an ankle injury.
Maatsen, who was initially omitted from the provisional squad, has been called up by manager Ronald Koeman despite not having earned a senior cap for the national team yet.
The Chelsea player provides versatility as he can play at left-back, left wing-back and in midfield.
🦁 Ian Maatsen will join Oranje's training camp in Wolfsburg later today.

Koopmeiners’ withdrawal means the Netherlands are down to five central midfielders in their 26-man squad. Other options like Quinten Timber and Marten de Roon were also unavailable due to injuries.
The Netherlands had already confirmed their 26-player squad for Euro 2024 earlier than the June 7 deadline, with Koeman opting for an experienced group that has justified the decision with 4-0 wins over Canada and Iceland in warm-up matches.
The Dutch will face Poland, France and Austria in Group D at the tournament. They are aiming to improve on their quarter-final exit at the 2018 World Cup and end a long wait for a major trophy, with their only previous European Championship triumph coming in 1988 when Koeman was a player.
