Napoli have been in the market for a striker since Romelu Lukaku’s injury. The Belgian striker is out for three months and is expected to undergo surgery.
Lukaku sustained the injury during a preseason friendly against Olympiacos.

Medical tests conducted by Napoli’s doctors confirmed a tear in the femoris muscle of his right leg.
The Italian side has various options on their shortlist, and one of the names being considered is Tolu Arokodare.
According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, Napoli contacted Arokodare’s representatives today to inquire about what a potential move for the player would entail.
While the player has not made any public statements regarding the club’s interest, several reports suggest that he is keen on the move. He is valued at around €20-€25 million.
Arokodare was the top scorer in Belgium’s top flight last season, scoring 21 goals and providing 6 assists.
Genk are reportedly open to selling Arokodare, as they believe his sale could generate profit, which would be beneficial to them given their reliance on player sales.
Tolu has not started any matches this season, coming off the bench in all four league outings so far.
Speaking to Voetbalkrant about his future, Arokodare said:
“It’s very frustrating not knowing what’s going on. I’m trying to stay calm, even though my head is racing. But I have my friends and loved ones who keep me mentally stable. I can’t say anything about it — I don’t know anything myself.
“You hear rumours, I hear rumours, but have you heard anything concrete yet? I don’t know if I’ll leave this season or next.”
If a move to Napoli materializes for Arokodare, it will be a massive step forward in his career.
He would be joining a club competing in the UEFA Champions League, one of Europe’s top leagues.
Additionally, he would have the opportunity to learn under a manager like Antonio Conte.
