In response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s incendiary appearance on TalkTV, Manchester United has “started the proper actions,” the club announced in a statement.
Additionally, according to recent reports from The Times and ESPN, this indicates that the club is attempting to renegotiate the forward’s contract before it expires in June of this year.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Word About Gary Neville And Wayne Rooney At Piers Morgan Interview

Ronaldo has attacked former teammates Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville and said he feels “betrayed” by Manchester United. He has also said he does not “have respect” for head coach Erik ten Hag and that the club “doubted” him when he claimed his daughter was ill and prevented him from attending preseason training.

Manchester United initially stated that they wanted to gather “all the facts” before taking any further action in response to Ronaldo’s interview, but they have since issued an update stating that they have “this morning initiated appropriate steps in response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent media interview.” Until this procedure is over, we won’t be commenting further.

According to The Times, the club has given legal counsel instructions to present evidence of contract breach. Ten Hag informed club executives that he did not want Ronaldo to return after the World Cup, according to ESPN’s additional reporting.
Following the backlash from the interview, former Manchester United player Neville stated that the club “had to” sever Ronaldo’s contract.

In a Sky Sports interview, Neville encouraged the team to fire the forward.
If he wanted a way out, he “wouldn’t have done this interview,” according to Neville. He was aware that it would make headlines and mark the end of his Manchester United playing days.

“I’m unsure of what Manchester United is doing because, in all honesty, they are aware that they must void Cristiano’s contract lest they create a precedent that would allow any player to criticize them in the future.

The reality is that if you’re an employee within a business and say those things, your employment has to terminate, and Manchester United has to do that in the coming days. I agree with some of what Cristiano has stated, and many Manchester United fans will agree with many of his statements.

While focusing on the World Cup, Ronaldo said to Morgan that he is unclear about his future.
It’s hard to say right now because my mood right now is focused on the World Cup, he remarked.
“This is obviously my fifth World Cup, and it’s probably my last. I have no idea what will happen after the World Cup, but as I have already said and will do so again, the supporters will always have a special place in my heart.
Ronaldo is currently concentrating on the opening match of Portugal’s World Cup campaign on November 24 against Ghana.
