In his new capacity, Klopp will not engage in day-to-day operations of the clubs under Red Bull’s umbrella. Instead, he will focus on overarching strategies that enhance the footballing philosophy across various teams, including RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg.

His responsibilities will encompass mentoring coaches and management teams, fostering talent development, and refining scouting processes. Klopp expressed excitement about this new venture, stating,

“After nearly 25 years on the sidelines, I am thrilled to engage in a project of this nature”.

This move signifies a shift from the intense pressures of coaching to a more strategic role. Klopp’s extensive experience in football management positions him uniquely to influence the direction of Red Bull’s clubs globally. He aims to leverage Red Bull’s resources and knowledge while drawing insights from other industries to innovate within football.

The former Liverpool boss emphasized his commitment to nurturing talent, saying,

“I want to develop, improve and support the incredible football talent that we have at our disposal”.

Interestingly, Jürgen Klopp’s contract includes an exit clause that could allow him to step into the role of head coach for the German national team if an opportunity arises.

This speculation has sparked discussions about his potential return to coaching at the international level, particularly with the 2026 World Cup on the horizon. Many believe that Klopp is well-suited for such a position given his track record and popularity within German football.
