Jordan Torunarigha is close to joining Hamburg SV as a free agent, according to German journalist Florian Plettenberg.
Torunarigha had offers from Olympique Lyon, Olympique Marseille, Anderlecht, and Borussia Mönchengladbach.
However, he is keen on joining the newly promoted side, having been convinced by the project presented to him by the club’s head coach, Merlin Polzin.
Hamburg SV has been away from the Bundesliga for the past seven years, but they are no pushovers historically.
The club is one of the few German teams to have won the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, and the UEFA Champions League.
The 27-year-old defender is expected to sign a three-year contract with the club, valid until June 30, 2028. He will hope to make a strong impact at Hamburg SV.
