Alex Iwobi reached a significant career milestone over the weekend, becoming the Nigerian player with the most Premier League appearances.
The 29-year-old made his 299th appearance in Fulham’s narrow 1-0 defeat to Arsenal, surpassing previous records held by Shola Ameobi.
Facing his former club at the Emirates Stadium, Iwobi delivered a steady performance.
He completed 33 passes, including eight into the final third, created four chances, delivered one accurate cross, and made three successful long balls.
Defensively, he remained active, recording four tackles, two interceptions, and three recoveries, contributing both on and off the ball.
This season, Iwobi has featured in all eight of Fulham’s Premier League matches, registering two assists and one goal.

Since making his Premier League debut in 2016 for Arsenal, Iwobi has remained a constant figure in English football.
