Getafe Offers Umar Sadiq La Liga Lifeline

Getafe is showing renewed interest in Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq.

The forward is not a new name on Getafe’s radar — the club has been monitoring him for a while. They made an attempt to sign him on loan in January, but he opted for a move to Valencia instead.

Sadiq spent the remainder of the season on loan at Valencia, where he made 23 appearances, starting only 11 matches.

Despite showing flashes of quality — notably winning the Goal of the Month award for March — the club decided against signing him permanently.

He has now returned to Real Sociedad, but he is not part of Sergio Francisco’s plans.

The club is open to letting him leave, either permanently or on loan, with a purchase option included in the deal — a clause that reportedly aligns well with Getafe’s intentions.
