FIFA Has Rejected Belgium Away Kit, Because ‘love’ Is Written Inside Collar

FIFA Has Rejected Belgium Away Kit: Instead of the rainbow-colored design often associated with the LGBTQ community, according to Belgium’s Stefan Van Loock, FIFA prohibited the shirt due to its commercial ties to the Tomorrowland music festival.

According to a team spokesman, FIFA rejected Belgium’s World Cup team’s away uniform because the word “love” appeared within the collar.

The diversity, equality, and inclusivity-promoting Tomorrowland music festival in Belgium served as its inspiration.

According to Stefan Van Loock, a spokesman for Belgium, FIFA banned the shirt due to its commercial ties to the festival and not because it featured the traditional rainbow colors associated with the LGBTQ community.

According to Mr. Van Loock, the squad’s warm-up clothing was also disapproved because of references to Tomorrowland.

Despite assurances from Qatari and FIFA officials that spectators would be permitted to wear rainbow items and wave flags, fans and members of the media claim that their possession of such goods has been seized.

Following Monday’s Wales vs. USA game, Wales supporter Laura McAllister, who ran for the FIFA council last year, tweeted about her experience.

Grant Wahl claimed he was forced to take off his rainbow T-shirt by officials after 25 minutes of detention.

Just prior to the tournament’s start, FIFA decided that the captains of England, Wales, and other teams planning to wear “OneLove” armbands would receive yellow cards.

Belgium’s away jerseys are permitted as long as the word “love” is taped over, according to the governing body.

Since their introduction in September, they have been worn at a number of European games.

The Red Devils will play their first three games in their home uniform. As a result of the FIFA rule, according to Mr. Van Loock. FIFA has not yet responded to the situation.
