Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is expected to have a new role under Lazio’s new head coach, Maurizio Sarri.
Lazio triggered the buy-option clause in Fisayo’s contract after an impressive loan spell last season.
Fisayo played 29 matches in all competitions for Lazio last campaign, contributing to eight goals.
The midfielder started in Tuesday’s friendly against Lazio U20, which the senior team won 3–0.
Sarri used his usual 4-3-3 formation, starting Fisayo in the centre of midfield. The Nigerian impressed greatly and bossed the middle of the park.
Lazio’s first competitive game of the season will take place against Como at the Stadio Comunale G. Sinigaglia on 24 August.
The Biancocelesti will be eager to prove a point to their fans after missing out on European qualification last season.
