Chrisantus Uche Breaks Silence on Crystal Palace Struggles

Chrisantus Uche has finally opened up about his difficult spell in England with Crystal Palace.

The midfielder has made only four Premier League appearances this season none as a starter and has accumulated just 79 minutes across all competitions.

Sharing his frustration on social media, Uche wrote:

“It hurts when you go through something that kills you inside but you have to act like it doesn’t bother you at all. Keep believing and have faith in all you do.”

Uche joined Crystal Palace on loan, with the deal containing a €20 million buy option that becomes active if he plays 10 Premier League matches.

However, with limited opportunities and only four league outings so far, the clause looks increasingly unlikely to be triggered.

Reports suggest Palace are open to allowing the Nigeria international leave in January, and the player himself is said to be considering the possibility due to his lack of playing time.

The situation is especially disappointing for Uche, who has long dreamt of establishing himself in the Premier League.

His limited minutes could also impact his international prospects.

Uche was included in Eric Chelle’s preliminary squad for the 2025 African Cup of Nations, but his current situation puts his place in the final squad at risk.

He already missed out on Nigeria’s recent World Cup qualifying playoffs against Gabon and DR Congo.

With January approaching, Uche faces a crucial period as he looks to revive his club career and international ambitions.
