The Super Falcons will get all the support it needs to prepare and compete favorably at the 2024 WAFON in July, according to NFF President Ibrahim Gusau, as he refutes concerns that the Federation has not done enough for the team.
Nigeria’s Senior WNT will return to action this Tuesday when they face Cameroon in an international friendly.
It comes as their first game since last November when they lost 2-1 against France in a friendly match at the Stade Raymond-Kopa.
Four FIFA international windows have since past, but the team was left in limbo – a situation Gusau desperately hoped to clarify.
‘Before going for the Nations Cup proper they’ll be in Portugal to play against the Portuguese female national team,’ Gusau told Brila.net.
‘Then they come back to Morocco and spend seven days before they eventually join the camp for the tournament, so we are equally giving them all the preparation they need.’
‘We just hired a physical trainer and video match analyst from Sweden for them, to make sure they are well prepared.
‘So we are not leaving them behind, by the grace of God this time they’ll come back with the trophy.’

Nigeria will make its 15th appearance in the tournament and remains the most successful team with 9 titles.
Justin Madugu will get Nigeria’s La decima campaign underway in the group phase with games against Tunisia, Botswana and Algeria.
