Super Eagles forward, Victor Boniface has lifted the lid on the unusual way his loan move from Bayer Leverkusen to Werder Bremen unfolded.
The 24-year-old striker explained that he was at home live-streaming online — a pastime he often enjoys after training — when he suddenly received a message instructing him to head out for medicals.
Not wanting to disclose the true reason to his fans during the stream, Boniface jokingly told them he was attending a wedding ceremony.
He later completed his medicals, signed the paperwork, and returned home to continue streaming as though nothing had happened.
Boniface, who regularly connects with his Nigerian fan base through his streams, stressed that it is a way for him to relax.
He added that it does not affect his performances on the pitch.

“As long as I perform on the pitch, I don’t think spending an hour a day streaming should be an issue,” he said.
Looking ahead to the 2025/26 season, Boniface outlined his personal goal:
“My target is to stay healthy and fit, play the whole year without any injury, and help the team in all aspects I can. We will see how it goes by the end.”
Victor Boniface signed his Werder Bremen contract until June 2026, on loan with part of his salary covered.
Boniface was left out of Eric Chelle’s squad for the September World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa amid his move to the Bremen side.
