Boniface Eyes Golden Glove as Flamingos Depart for U-17 WWC

Nigeria’s U-17 women’s national team goalkeeper, Elizabeth Boniface, shares her excitement and confidence as the Flamingos jet out to Morocco for the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

Boniface, who played a key role in the team’s qualification campaign, said she feels honored to be part of the squad and believes Nigeria can surpass their previous best performance, a quarterfinal finish.

“I’m happy to be among the Flamingos and I’m really grateful for the opportunity.”

“By the special grace of God, I know my teammates and I have worked hard, we have trained hard for this competition, and by the help of God, I know we can do better in this competition and go far,” she said.

“Last set, we stopped at the quarter-final but this set, we want to go more than there. I want to go to Morocco and get the Golden Glove back to Nigeria,” Boniface added with confidence.
