Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala came off the bench to score, but her goal proved insufficient as Al Ittihad Ladies defeated Al Hilal Women 3–1 in the Saudi Women’s Premier League on Sunday.
The Six-time African Player of the Year was introduced at the start of the second half and pulled one back for Al Hilal in the 74th minute, producing a brilliant solo effort before curling a right-footed finish past the goalkeeper.
The strike was her ninth league goal of the campaign, adding to two assists, and takes her overall tally to 16 goals and three assists across all competitions this season.
Al Ittihad had earlier taken control of the contest in the 41st minute when Nigerian winger Francisca Ordega provided the assist for Leticia Nunes, who calmly converted to open the scoring.

The visitors doubled their advantage just before the break, with Lamar Mohammed finding the net in first-half stoppage time (45+1).
Mohammed struck again in the 64th minute to complete her brace and make it 3–0, effectively sealing the result.
Oshoala’s late goal served only as a consolation for Al Hilal, who were unable to mount a full comeback.
Super Falcons defender, Ashleigh Plumptre was an unused substitute for Al Ittihad.
The victory lifts Al Ittihad to second place on the league table, while Al Hilal drop to fifth heading into the women’s international break.
