Nigeria international, Tolu Arokodare is having a tough time in the Premier League with Wolverhampton Wanderers, as he fails to find the back of the net for the second game in a row.
Vítor Pereira’s side remain without a point after five matches, and their latest defeat came in a 3-1 loss to Leeds United.
Wolves started strong with Ladislav Krejci’s 8th-minute goal giving them an early lead, but they couldn’t capitalize on it.
Leeds responded in the 31st minute with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s equalizer, before Anton Stach put them ahead just eight minutes later.
Noah Okafor added a third in stoppage time before the break.
Arokodare played the full 90 minutes, and though he didn’t score, he was solid in his defensive duties.
He made 13 passes, with two into the final third, and excelled defensively with 100% tackle success, a clearance, and two ball recoveries. He won one ground duel and dominated in the air, winning seven aerial duels.
Despite his efforts, Arokodare and his teammates couldn’t prevent the loss.
Wolves manager Frustrated

“We are all very disappointed with the result. We started well, but after going 1-0 up, we made mistakes, and Leeds punished us. We need to take our chances when we have the lead.
“They were clinical in front of goal, and after they scored, the game changed. We couldn’t respond, and in the second half, we lacked the composure to break them down.
“We must be better in key moments and not make those mistakes. We need to be more disciplined, especially when we are ahead in a game.”
Pereira also emphasized that the team must work harder, stay focused, in other to turn the club’s fortunes around.
Wolves will turn their attention to the Carabao Cup where they will take on Everton.
