Super Eagles defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel is confident in Nigeria’s ability to overcome tournament hosts Morocco in their highly anticipated AFCON 2025 semi-final clash.
Nigeria will face Morocco in front of a hostile crowd, but Osayi-Samuel believes the Super Eagles’ mentality, structure and consistency can neutralise the hosts’ threats and secure a place in the final.
Speaking ahead of the decisive encounter, Osayi-Samuel admitted that Morocco possess dangerous weapons, particularly in attack, but stressed that Nigeria’s primary focus must remain on their own identity and style of play.
He highlighted the impressive form of Brahim Díaz, who has scored in every match for the Atlas Lions so far, while making it clear that Nigeria are not intimidated.
“I think Morocco will be thinking twice against us. They have their strengths too. They have a player that has been scoring each game, they have great players.”
“We just focus on ourselves, keep playing the way we are and I am sure we will beat Morocco too,” he said.
Osayi-Samuel acknowledged the quality of the Atlas Lions while insisting the Super Eagles have the belief and balance to emerge victorious.
