Super Eagles Midfielder, Frank Onyeka spoke to Brila Media ahead of the crucial World Cup qualifier against Rwanda.
He urged Nigerians to be patient and get behind the players, emphasizing that they are doing everything possible to secure all three points.
“It is Rwanda, it won’t be easy. Everyone should know that no game is easy, but we are doing everything we can to win. We are preparing for the game, and we know how important this game is.”
The 27 year-old midfielder gave his assessment of the mood going into the game, following last year’s loss against Rwanda in Uyo.

“I think they are coming strong. We also beat them at their home. We, as players, also need to prepare well for the game.”
Speaking on Eric Chelle’s approach to games and Nigeria’s chances of qualifying for the next World Cup, Onyeka added:
“He is a very good coach, he knows what he is doing. I don’t know why we are scared. We are doing everything we can to qualify for the World Cup.
“It’s not easy, but we are working hard and trying our best to achieve this so that Nigerians can be happy.”
This will be Onyeka’s first competitive match under Chelle.

He last featured for Nigeria in November, during the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Rwanda, where he registered an assist.
The midfielder is currently in good form, having also provided an assist in Brentford’s Premier League loss against Sunderland.
