Media personality Do2dtun has expressed disappointment over Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the World Cup, sharing a series of emotional posts on X.
He recalled how football once united Nigerians, citing memories of Atlanta ’96 when fans poured into the streets in joy. But according to him, today’s Super Eagles have lost that same fighting spirit.
Do2dtun stressed that Nigerians are not the enemy but loyal supporters who cheer these players even at club level. He blamed the system and football authorities for the poor structure, but insisted the team should still play with zeal for the people.
“The system is a mess, no doubt. But this team lost the zeal to fight for us. We are the real losers here, not them. Remember, you are playing for us, not them,” he wrote.
He also pointed out that the female team faced similar challenges but still delivered results, urging the Super Eagles to defy the odds instead of letting disappointments from the NFF weaken them.
