American rapper, Young Thug has publicly criticised Kid Cudi, calling him a “rat” following Cudi’s testimony against Diddy in an ongoing sex trafficking trial.
Cudi took the stand and testified that Diddy had broken into his house, harmed his dog, and set fire to his car. The testimony also referenced Cudi’s brief relationship with Cassie in 2011. According to Cudi, their dating period coincided with Cassie’s alleged split from Diddy, which reportedly sparked the incident.
Cudi claimed that in December 2011, Cassie called him in distress, shortly after which a friend informed him that Diddy was inside his home. On his way back, Cudi said he called Diddy, who allegedly told him, “I’m over here waiting for you.” Upon arriving, Cudi found his security cameras disabled, his belongings disturbed—including Christmas presents—and his dog injured and locked in the bathroom.
The rapper described how the incident left his dog “jittery and on edge” and said he filed a police report. He also addressed the widely speculated car bombing that occurred a month later, claiming a Molotov cocktail was thrown into his vehicle while he was away. He was notified by his dog sitter and again contacted police.
Cudi said the two later met to discuss the events and that Diddy denied any involvement in the car bombing. Despite the tension, Cudi stated they eventually reached a point of peace.
In response to the testimony, Young Thug posted a now-deleted message on X (formerly Twitter), writing: “Dam cudi a rat lol,” signalling his disapproval of Cudi’s decision to testify.

Adding a layer of complexity, Brian Steel—Young Thug’s attorney in his RICO case—is also part of Diddy’s legal team.
