Political analyst Goldie Ghamari has sharply criticised Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, after he publicly demanded that his full interview on Piers Morgan’s show be aired without any edits.
The minister had appeared on the programme to deny allegations of widespread Christian killings in Nigeria, a claim that has drawn global attention and scrutiny.
Reacting on X, Ghamari reposted Tuggar’s statement and accused him of being dishonest during the interview. She wrote that it was “embarrassing” to watch the minister fail to answer Morgan’s questions, adding that he was caught “in several lies.” According to her, while such behaviour may pass without consequence in Nigeria, it does not stand in international media environments where claims are rigorously challenged. She went further to call him “a liar and a genocide denier.”

Tuggar, in his original post, insisted that he had given a factual and contextual explanation of what he called misleading narratives about religious persecution in Nigeria. He said his responses were backed by verifiable data but may not have aligned with what he described as preconceived expectations. The minister demanded that his full interview be aired exactly as recorded, without edits or selective omissions, stressing that Nigeria’s truth must not be distorted to fit external biases.
