A woman has taken to social media to vent after a deeply overwhelming turn of events in her life.
According to her, she had just returned from burying her father when another heavy blow landed — a letter from her lawyer detailing the final bill for her divorce.
Still processing grief, she said opening that letter left her completely speechless.
The distraught woman joked that she finally understands why people say “it’s cheaper to keep her” or “cheaper to keep him”, adding that the legal fees felt excessive and crushing, especially at such an emotional time.
She went on to ask fellow divorced people how they managed their lawyer fees, describing the experience as being financially draining from every angle.
