“When I came after Nigerian Pastors, I lost 100% of my business…” — Daddy Freeze opens up on religious bias in Nigeria

Controversial media personality, Daddy Freeze, has revealed how his outspoken criticism of Nigerian pastors cost him everything.

In a candid conversation with businessman, Stephen Akintayo, the former OAP didn’t hold back as he shared personal experiences that changed his life.

“When I came after Nigerian pastors, I lost 100% of my business,” he said.

Freeze explained that his decision to speak out against religious practices he found questionable didn’t come cheap.

“I lost everything. It all went like that.”

He also touched on a heartbreaking story involving a young Muslim man who was denied a job because of his religion.

“The guy said, ‘I’m a Muslim.’ The man replied, ‘I can’t work with a Muslim.’ I watched the video. That guy was still at the gate when the building collapsed,” Freeze said, referring to a tragic incident involving a collapsed building.

According to Freeze, many Christians are often unwilling to work with people of other religions; a mindset he believes needs to change.

“Muslims are more open to working with Christians than the other way round,” he added.

Daddy Freeze also addressed the long-standing controversy surrounding his divorce.

He admitted that his ex-wife made allegations of domestic violence — a claim that trailed him for years.

But in a rare moment of honesty, he said:

“Now, in all fairness, we used to fight. And the fight used to get physical.”

He added that in Nigeria, people rarely accept that marriages can end without drama.

“You can’t just say ‘marriage no work, I want to divorce.’ You must be a monster. If not, they will not divorce you.”
