A Nigerian woman is trending online after boldly clapping back at the usual arguments people throw at those who choose not to have biological children.
In a series of posts, she didn’t hold back as she listed — and hilariously dismantled — the unsolicited pro-child advice she constantly receives.
From the overused “You’ll be lonely in your old age” to “Your bloodline will end,” she had sharp responses for every guilt trip.
“You’ll be lonely in your old age.”
“Okay? What’s it to you? You that you’re in the US and your parents are alone in Nigeria?”
She didn’t stop there. For those worried about her legacy:
“No one will carry your legacy & name.”
“I’ll be dead! How am I supposed to know or care?? I’ll no longer exist!”
And then came the all-time favorite:
“What if your parents didn’t give birth to you?”
“My sibling in Christ, I wouldn’t have been born. Meaning again, I wouldn’t know or care!”
