Nigerian rapper, Zlatan Ibile, has said that Nigerians have now gotten used to suffering because the government has failed to fix the economy.
Zlatan made the statement while reacting to UK rapper, Dave’s comments about Nigerians spending in clubs while beggars sit outside.
Speaking on Madame Joyce’s show in the UK, he said:
“We are used to it. That’s how it has always been and the government isn’t doing anything about it.”
He added that hardship has become so normal that people no longer expect anything different.
Zlatan also said some beggars have turned begging into a lifestyle and become entitled even when they receive money every day.
He advised them to find something productive to do instead of depending on handouts.
