According to the New York Daily News, a kind Samaritan discovered a 2-year-old kid walking alone, barefoot, and screaming in the Bronx at 11 p.m. in June. After his parents dialed 911, the boy was later reunited with his family at 8 a.m. the following morning.

Investigators think the toddler escaped the family’s house through a door that was unintentionally left open. After being discovered and being in good health, the infant was also examined at a hospital, according to CBS News.

According to NY1, it was anticipated that no criminal charges would be brought against the boy’s family in relation to the incident.
