In what could be translated as them living up to the lyrics of the NYSC anthem, corp members serving in the FCT, filed out even in the rain to greet the NYSC DG who visited their camp this morning. It rained heavily in FCT this morning.
To prove that he is with the them, the DG and his officials stood in the rain to address the students who had filed out to meet with him.
The first stanza of the NYSC anthem reads
‘’NYSC ANTHEM
Youths obey the clarion call
Let us lift our nation high
Under the sun or in the rain
With dedication and selflessness
Nigeria is ours, Nigeria we serve.”
