Two k!lled, several injured in clash over leadership of Taraba Jummat Mosque

At least two persons were k!lled in a dispute over leadership of Central Mosque in Donga, a town in Taraba State.

 

It was gathered that several others were wounded and properties destroyed.

 

According to Daily Trust, the clash erupted on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 over the Imamship  of the Donga Central Mosque located in front of the  palace of the Paramount ruler of  Donga chiefdom.

 

A source in the town told the publication that the crisis began after a disagreement within the Muslim community  over who should lead the  Central Mosque in the town

 

This resulted in a violent confrontation between the two groups.

 

The source further hinted that security agents, including soldiers, had been drafted to the area to control the situation.
