Two brothers have both been kidnapped in the Abraka area of Delta State.
In a video shared on Instagram, Gwamnishu said the abductors had initially abducted Clinton and afterwards, abducted his brother, who had gone to deliver the N3 million ransom asked for by the abductors.
‘’A student simply identified as Clinton was kidnapped around 7pm last Thursday, May 22. The kidnappers told the family to bring millions of Naira which they do not have. They managed to raise three million Naira and they gave it to the brothers to go and they give it to the kidnappers. They bought items. The kidnappers now are now holding Clinton’s brother. They are holding Clinton and also his brother. They took the N3 million and then holding his brother.” Gwamnishu said
Recounting what transpired, the sister, Okemena Jackson, in an emotionally laden video, appealed to Nigerians to help locate her brothers.
‘’On Thursday last week, my younger brother, Clinton, was kidnapped around after 7 when he was coming out of his brother. They kidnapped him on Thursday and they been beating him. They told us that we should bring N200 million. From N200 million, they brought it to N150 million, to N80 million and to N50 million. We told them we do not have that money and that we only have N3 million which we managed to even raise. They kept on torturing the boy, beating the boy everyday. As at yesterday, they called and told us that we should get the N3 million ready in cash. We got the money. They told my brother to bring it to where they told him to bring it.”
She said her brother went to the place where they were instructed to drop the money, and then her brother was kidnapped. She said they are demanding N10 million for her freshly abducted brother. She said the matter had been reported to the police and that nothing had been done yet.
Harrison, while sharing the video, also alleged that some government officials were trying to set him up for bringing such kidnapping incidents to the public domain.
