Worried by the rising spate of insecurity in the country, President Bola Tinubu today met with the National security adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, and Christopher Musa, chief of defence staff (CDS), at the State House, Abuja.

 

The President had returned to the country on Monday night after 19 days in France and the United Kingdom.

 

During his absence from the country, there were reports of killings and abductions in many parts of the country especially in Benue and Plateau states.  

 

Over 100 persons have been killed in the last three weeks in a renewed attacks in Plateau and Benue States by yet to be identified gunmen.
