A revealing new biography claims Gwyneth Paltrow once shared intimate details about her s3x life with ex-boyfriend Ben Affleck, including a specific act she allegedly enjoyed, during a private conversation with the late celebrity makeup artist Kevyn Aucoin.
According to Page Six, the bedroom disclosure is detailed in Gwyneth: The Biography, an upcoming book by author Amy Odell. The Oscar-winning actress reportedly opened up during a casual chat in Aucoin’s London hotel room, where she said she “loved when Affleck ‘tw”
“It was the ribald side of her that her friends knew well but that the public didn’t see,” Odell writes.
Though the exact act isn’t explicitly described in the book, the term and its slang implication quickly sparked interest among readers. While representatives for both Paltrow and Affleck have not responded to Page Six’s requests for comment, the revelation has already stirred widespread attention online.
Paltrow, now 52, dated Affleck from 1997 to 2000. The two, who co-starred in the film Bounce, were one of Hollywood’s most talked-about couples at the time. Despite their chemistry, Odell claims the relationship may have fallen apart due to issues including Affleck’s alleged infidelity, struggles with alcoholism, and a gambling problem.
“Their physical chemistry couldn’t overcome his self-destructive impulses, which may have even included cheating on her,” Odell writes. She also notes that some of Paltrow’s friends “had reservations” about the Good Will Hunting star, alleging that “he didn’t always reciprocate her affection” and “at times seemed more interested in playing video games with the guys at his house than being with Gwyneth.”
Paltrow, known for her candid discussions on sexuality and wellness through her lifestyle brand Goop, has never shied away from provocative topics. The Goop site famously sold a $75 candle called “This Smells Like My Vagina,” later followed by similarly themed products like “This Smells Like My Orgasm” and “This Smells Like My Prenup.”
In a 2023 interview, the Iron Man star fielded fan questions about s3x, openly stating that she “generally” does not “lick ass.” Still, she spoke fondly of her time with Affleck, calling him a “technically excellent” lover.
After her split from Affleck, Paltrow married Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. They share two children, Apple and Moses, and divorced in 2016. She later married producer Brad Falchuk.
Affleck, meanwhile, went on to marry Jennifer Garner in 2005, divorcing in 2018. He was later married to Jennifer Lopez from 2022 until their separation in 2025.
Gwyneth: The Biography by Amy Odell is set for release on July 29.
