Nigeria international defender, Semi Ajayi is expected to part ways with West Bromwich Albion at the end of the current season.
Ajayi’s contract with the Championship side is set to expire this summer, and the club is reportedly prepared to let him leave on a free transfer.
The 31-year-old joined West Brom from Rotherham United in 2019, initially signing a four-year deal. He later extended his contract in May 2022.
During his time with the Baggies, Ajayi made 169 league appearances and scored 12 goals. A product of the Arsenal Academy, he has been a consistent presence in the club’s backline.
Ajayi has also enjoyed a solid international career. He featured for Nigeria at both the 2021 and 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, playing a pivotal role in the Super Eagles’ run to the final in Côte d’Ivoire earlier this year.
