Nigerian music star Skales has debunked a viral claim alleging he divorced his wife because of a comment she made on his social media post.
The singer took to X (formerly Twitter) to call out the false report, describing it as “really evil” and “not fair.”
“I have never made such statement and this is false… pls stop spreading lies,” he wrote while reposting the fake quote by @VERITY_HQ.
The now-viral tweet falsely quoted Skales as saying:
“I divorced my wife because of a comment she made on my post and I don’t regret it… People cannot be mocking your husband’s music career… and you join.”
Skales firmly denied ever making such a statement and warned blogs and media outlets to stop fabricating stories about his personal life.
