A young woman identified as Desiree Mohau Letsoalo was brutally assaulted by her jealous ex-boyfriend in South Africa.
It was gathered that the incident happened in Mokgoloboto village, Tzaneen, Limpopo Province last Saturday, October 18.
According to the mother of one, the suspect identified as Josias repeatedly hit her with pieces of broken tiles.
A community activist, Miyelani Ramojela, who confirmed the incident on Wednesday, October 22, said the victim is currently receiving medical treatment at Letaba Hospital.
Meanwhile, her sister has since spoken out, pleading for justice and swift action from local authorities.
Community members are expressing anger, demanding justice and support for Desiree’s recovery and safety.
It was further gathered that the suspect has been arrested and will appear at Ritavi Magistrate Court, Nkowankowa next week Thursday.
