Media personality and hype man, Do2dtun, has reacted to the recent restrictions placed on DJs, event planners, and other forms of entertainment during weddings in Bauchi State.
Taking to X, Do2dtun didn’t hold back as he criticised the new law introduced by the Sharia Commission, describing it as “a complete level of ignorance tied to hopelessness and joblessness.”
“If you are the one that came up with the law to ban DJs and event planners in a state then you are very very useless,” he wrote.
The Bauchi State Hisbah Board had earlier announced 16 new regulations to curb what they described as immoral celebrations at weddings and recreational centres. This includes the banning of cultural displays like Kawayawade, Aloba, DJs, gala nights and all forms of entertainment perceived as promoting indecency.
According to the commission, the move is in response to the rising number of divorces in the state, claiming the “blessing of marriage” is lost at the beginning stage due to unholy practices.
However, Do2dtun, like many others online, sees it differently.
“What is the effect of such law? Some people are so backward in this Nigeria,” he added.
