American country music icon Dolly Parton has reassured fans once again, sharing a warm and emotional Thanksgiving message that instantly calmed the growing worry around her health.
In the video posted on Instagram, the 79-year-old legend looked radiant as she spoke directly to her fans:
“Well hey! It’s Dolly here, and I want to wish all of you and your family blessings this Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for all of you and for the memories that we’ve shared through the years. So Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, and just know that I will always love you.”
The comment section lit up immediately, with fans calling her a “light in this dark world” and thanking her for years of comfort, music, and joy. Many also expressed relief at seeing her looking bright and healthy.
One fan wrote: “Grateful for souls like yours this Thanksgiving, Dolly! We love you!”
Another added: “You’ve been a sweet comfort to me since childhood.”
Her sweet Thanksgiving post comes just weeks after she postponed several shows from her Dolly: Live in Las Vegas residency due to health procedures ordered by her doctors.
At the time, Dolly reassured fans she wasn’t retiring or stepping away permanently:
“I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts… I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures.”
In true Dolly fashion, she even cracked a joke about going in for her “100,000-mile check-up” — adding that it wasn’t one of her usual trips to the plastic surgeon.
Last month, concerns heightened after her sister Freida publicly asked fans to pray for the singer. Dolly later posted a candid video shutting down the rumors immediately:
“I ain’t dead yet! Do I look sick to you? I’ve got some problems… nothing major, but I did have to cancel some things so I could be closer to home.”
Speaking to People magazine, she once again affirmed that she’s stable and far from slowing down:
“People say, ‘Well, you’re going to be 80 years old.’ Well, so what? Look at all I’ve done in 80 years. I feel like I’m just getting started. I ain’t got time to get old!”
She also addressed the whispers surrounding her health issues:
“There’s a lot of rumors out there… but I want you to know that I’m OK! I’m not dying!”
While she has openly battled kidney stones before, Dolly insists her current treatments are “not that serious.”
