Chappell Roan has come under criticism following an alleged incident involving the family of Jorginho during her time in Brazil.
Jorginho, who currently plays for Flamengo, took to Instagram to claim that his wife and 11-year-old daughter encountered Roan at a hotel in São Paulo ahead of the 2026 Lollapalooza Brazil.
According to him, his daughter simply looked over at the singer and smiled, trying to confirm if it was really her without asking for a photo or autograph. However, he alleges that a security guard later approached his family in what he described as an “extremely aggressive manner,” accusing the girl of being disrespectful and harassing the artist.
Jorginho further claimed the encounter left his daughter in tears and criticised the situation, stating that public figures should remember the role fans play in their success. The footballer added that, as someone who has lived in the public eye for years, he understands issues around privacy but insisted that no boundaries were crossed in this case.
The alleged incident comes as Roan is set to perform at Lollapalooza Brazil this weekend. She has not publicly responded to the claims, and representatives have yet to comment. The situation has sparked debate online, particularly around celebrity boundaries and fan interactions, though details remain based on Jorginho’s account.
