The remains of teenager Celeste Rivas have been released to her family, weeks after she was discovered inside a Tesla owned by rising music star D4vd.
According to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office, the girl’s body — found in early September just a day before what would have been her 15th birthday — has now been cleared for release.
According to Daily Mail, Police say Rivas had been missing since May 2024 and was known to run away from home in Lake Elsinore, California. Her body was found in a state of decomposition inside the impounded Tesla, raising questions about how long she had been there.
Investigators have since raided D4vd’s Hollywood Hills home, leaving with bags of evidence and a computer. While no charges have been filed against him yet, images have surfaced online showing the late teen appearing close to the 20-year-old TikTok-famous singer.
The controversy has only grown with resurfaced photos and livestream clips linking the two, as well as an old video reposted by D4vd that fans now view in a disturbing new light.
Online, social media users have flooded comment sections demanding justice for Celeste. Some pointed to D4vd’s online activity, while others grimly suggested the case could end up in a Netflix documentary.
Authorities say their investigation into the teen’s death is ongoing.
