Football star, Kylian Mbappe will undergo additional medical evaluations on his injured knee, though surgery is not being considered at this time. The Real Madrid forward has been struggling with an external ligament issue in his left knee since late 2025. The 27-year-old was sidelined for last weeks UEFA Champions League play-off second leg against SL Benfica and has now travelled to Paris for further examinations.Mbapp is also expected to miss Madrids La Liga clash with Getafe CF, while his participation in next weeks Champions League Round of 16 showdown against Manchester City remains uncertain. In a statement, his representatives confirmed he is in Paris alongside members of the clubs medical team.In agreement with the club, he is undergoing further tests on his knee with the aim of optimising his follow-up care and preparing for his comeback, the statement said, adding that no surgical intervention is being planned at the moment.Head coach Alvaro Arbeloa previously indicated that the decision to allow Mbapp extended recovery time was mutually agreed upon. It was a bit of a consensus between everyone and we think the best thing is that he stops, that he recovers and comes back at 100%, Arbeloa said. Its not going to be a question of days, it will be a bit longer, but I cant say how long. Hopefully not too long.Mbapp joined Real Madrid on a free transfer in June 2024 after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired. He has enjoyed a prolific campaign, scoring 38 goals in 33 appearances across all competitions this season.
