Police have released footage of a woman wanted for questioning after a newborn baby with its umbilical cord still attached was found abandoned at a New York City subway station.
A clip released by the NYPD on Tuesday, October 21, shows the woman holding a bundle wrapped in white cloths in her arms as she walks down the sidewalk not far from where the baby was discovered at the 34th Street-Penn Station.
She was wearing pink pants, a red headscarf and glasses, the video shows.
The newborn girl was found around 9:30 a.m. yesterday, Oct. 20, during the morning rush hour on the southbound platform of the 1 train at the busy station, cops said
About a half hour earlier, an unidentified individual had entered the station and left the baby on the dirty ground wrapped in a blanket, according to police.

The person then exited the subway and fled on foot.
The baby, who was conscious and alert with her umbilical cord still attached, was taken by police inside their cruiser to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, cops and sources said.
No arrests have been made.
