Patrick Xavier Clark Charged With Murder of Takeoff: In connection with the terrible shooting death of Kirshnik Khari Ball, better known by his stage name Takeoff, a Texas man has been detained.
Patrick Xavier Clark, 33, was peacefully apprehended and put into custody late on Thursday, according to the Houston Police Department. He is charged with murder on one count.
On November 1, 2022, a fatal shooting took place in front of a bowling establishment in downtown Houston. Takeoff was an “innocent bystander” who was shot during a dispute, according to the HPD.
According to HPD Sergeant Michael Burrow, the main argument was a “lucrative” game of dice. At a news conference on Friday, the police stated that they had no reason to assume that Takeoff had any involvement in the dice game and had no information to support this.
During the shooting, two more individuals suffered injuries.
Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner (D) remarked, “I’m delighted that a suspect has been caught and charged with Takeoff’s death. Although it doesn’t bring Takeoff back, it will undoubtedly provide some comfort for the family, in my opinion.
Days prior to Cameron Joshua’s arrest, 22, was accused by police of unlawfully possessing a firearm. Joshua is thought to have been among the numerous partygoers at 810 Billiards & Bowling that evening who witnessed the violence.
Ballistics, video, and audio records are being used by investigators to piece together the shooting, according to the HPD, which has disclosed very little information since the shocking incident occurred a month ago.

However, they emphasized that law enforcement was determined to make sure anyone with knowledge was questioned about what happened. According to police, every witness at the site rapidly dispersed after the bullets were fired.
During the news conference, Burrow remarked, “We will be looking to find you. “If you come find us, it will be simpler.”
Authorities believe Clark, not Joshua, was the one who fired the gun that killed the rapper.
Prosecutors requested that the alleged shooter’s bail be set at $1 million on Friday during his initial court appearance, arguing that he was a flight risk because he had made travel arrangements to Mexico shortly after the shooting, applied for a passport, and was found in possession of “a large amount of cash.”
The youngest member of the family hip-hop trio, the 28-year-old musician was well-liked around the world. The other two members of the group are Quavo, Takeoff’s uncle, and Kiari Kendrell Cephus, better known as Offset, who is Takeoff’s cousin. Takeoff’s mother reared the three of them in significant part.
Fans and critics alike have long praised the Atlanta rap trio highly. Takeoff was regarded as the most “laid-back” member of the Migos, typically avoiding controversy and sensational headlines and allowing his music speaks for itself, according to the Associated Press.
The murdered rapper and his uncle jointly published the album “Only Built for Infinity Links” a month before he passed away.
I’m laid back and chill, but you know what I mean when I say it’s time to pop it? Days before he passed away, Takeoff made a statement on a podcast. Give me my flowers now, please. When I’m not here, I don’t want them.
