Academy Award-winning actor Russell Crowe recently revealed the secrets behind his dramatic 57-pound weight loss at the age of 61. Appearing on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, the veteran star credited a two-pronged approach: drastically cutting down on casual alcohol consumption and utilizing a modern health services platform to reduce inflammation and pain.
Crowe emphasized that a major contributing factor to his weight loss was changing his relationship with alcohol. While he champions drinking as part of his “cultural heritage” and “g–damn right,” he recognized the need to adapt as he got older.
“We normalize both drinking and wagering, but we never look at the damage they cause,” Crowe told Rogan. He explained that he now tries not to have “casual drinks” for the sake of it.

“If I decide to have a glass of wine with dinner, it’s going to be a really nice wine. One night of ‘fun’ is plenty for him these days,” he shared, stressing the importance of quality over quantity.
Crowe’s second major factor was connecting with Ways2Well, a health services platform that provides advanced, preventive care beyond traditional models. The actor was first introduced to the company by Rogan himself.

Crowe revealed he has been receiving injections and IV treatments as part of a personalized wellness program. The primary benefit, he explained, has been pain relief and reduced inflammation.
“Ways2Well was a great call for me because it’s calmed down a bunch of stuff. It’s taking a bunch of pain away so I can go and work out and not have to suffer for two or three hours afterwards. It’s calmed down my body’s inflammation,” Crowe said.

The ability to work out without the associated intense, lingering pain was instrumental in allowing him to maintain the physical activity necessary for such a significant transformation.
Crowe joins others, including country star Jelly Roll, who has also credited Ways2Well methods in his own weight loss journey, highlighting the importance of patience and consistency over instant gratification.
