
A 34-year-old Nigerian woman was detained by the Versova police in Mumbai, India, on suspicion of having cocaine valued at over N254 million.
Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) officers observed Yenna Christina Idowu, 34, of Noida, New Delhi, acting strangely in Old MHADA, Andheri West, at 3AM on Monday, June 30, 2025.
Based on suspicion, the police searched her bag with a female officer present and found 30 capsules that contained 418 grams of cocaine, valued at an estimated Rs1.42 crore.
She revealed during questioning that she was a resident of Ondo, Nigeria, who was now residing in Noida.
In an effort to track down the entire drug network, the police are conducting a thorough investigation to ascertain who the accused was supposed to deliver the drugs to and where she obtained them.
Under several provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, a formal complaint has been filed against the Nigerian. She is presently being held by the police, and additional legal actions are being taken.
