Troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have neutralised no fewer than 20 terrorists and arrested several of their logistics suppliers during week-long offensives across the North East theatre of operations.
The operations, conducted between August 23 to August 30, 2025 were supported by the Air Component and local security outfits.
The Army in a statement on Tuesday, September 2, said the coordinated operations took place in Gujba, Gubio, Sabsawa, Whumtakum in Chibok Local Government Area, Mandarari in Konduga LGA, Gajigana in Magumeri LGA, as well as Konduga, Banki and Loskori Kura in Mafa LGA.
During the offensives, troops neutralised over 20 terrorists across different sectors of OPHK, arrested logistics suppliers and collaborators, and recovered arms, ammunition and other terrorist items.
Recovered items included several AK-47 rifles, Rocket Propelled Grenade tubes and bombs, a cache of 7.62mm ammunition, and logistics materials.
Troops also safely detonated Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and intercepted 242 bags of NPK fertiliser suspected to be destined for IED production.
The sustained pressure by troops has denied the terrorists freedom of action and created an enabling environment for socio-economic activities in the North East.
The military high command commended the troops for their determination and urged them to sustain the momentum in the fight against insurgency.
